Challenge shows an amazingly powerful and careful ability to jump, he uses his shoulders and back so well over a fence. He is very well known for his gentle temperament he is so friendly, he has always passed this down to his stock. Challenge is calm and takes everything in his stride.He is just so cool and relaxed even at the largest of shows.

This outstanding stallion has shown that he has all the ingredients which make him a top class breeding sire for numerous disciplines and breeders.

Breeding

Sired by the renowned international jumping stallion ‘Lucky Boy’  who is approved by 5 stud books including Oldenburg and KWPN. His dam ‘Woh I Noor’ is out of the TB stallion ‘Roven’, who has proved an invaluable addition to the KWPN breeding programme, himself a successful international competitor over 1m50 tracks.

Both the sire and dam line for Challenge have excellent conformation and incredible jumping ability combined with a very trainable attitude. Breeding lines can be seen below.

Performance

Challenge (Grade A) has excelled himself winning over 2500 British Show Jumping Points by winning and being placed at many venues including - HOYs,  Aintree – Premier League shows, Scope Festival, Bramham, Royal Highland, as well as numerous other County and National shows. He has recently travelled to Jardy,  France being placed a very respectable 3rd jumping some super rounds in the Grand Prix.

As a younger horse he competed in BE 100 and BD proving he is not just talented at showjumping he really has it all.

Also, 5th Overall in the National 6yr old Championship, 3rd in the Newcomers Regional Final, Addington 6 yr old championships, Blue Chip Karma Champs, National B&C Champs. Challenge received the highest jumping marks on the day of his stallion grading.


Progeny

His progeny are now coming of age and proving they are all worth the wait,  one of his first foals, Challenge Accepted is really making her mark in eventing taking part in such events as the Mitsubishi Gold Cup and other BE 100 events.  The Hobday Team also own a 3 year old sired by Challenge. All of his youngsters take on his easy going attitude, ability and have the best personalities. He goes well on any mare as seen by the selection of youngsters shown on the progeny page.
